Cayman Highlights

Cayman Brac is the second largest of the three Cayman Islands, and is distinguished by a massive limestone bluff that runs along the center of the island—in some places as much as 140 feet above sea level. Cayman Brac is known for its spectacular scuba diving—often with 100 feet of visibility.

The island is full of many caves and legend holds that pirates used them to hide their booty. In more recent times, the caves provided shelter from storms and hurricanes; residents survived a violent hurricane in 1932 by hiding in Peter’s Cave. Cayman Brac is also recognized one of the world’s best exotic climbing destinations. 

Every able seaman knows what an honor it is to be invited to dine at the captain's table. Now, Cayman Brac visitors of every age and background - able seaman or not - can feel that same honor. The Captain's Table offers diners everything from seafood cocktails and conch fritters to BBQ ribs and hamburgers.

This beautiful community park is a project created by members of the neighborhood in conjunction with the government. Its 3.41 acres include playground areas, covered picnic areas, a simple nature trail and a 12-station life course. The park is located approximatly half a mile west of the airport next to the Department of Tourism's Brac Office.

The name "Tipsy Turtle" says it all: island flavor with a bit of zany fun. Grab a drink here before or after a meal at the award winning Palms Caribbean Restaurant down the hall, or choose to dine with your drink. Along with the requisite selection of brightly colored Caribbean-style cocktails, the Turtle offers a humble menu of burgers, fries, salads and more. Note that this beachview pub is located right by the pool at Brac Reef Beach Resort.

The Heritage House is set in a beautiful acre of land on the North Coast of Cayman Brac that extends from the roadside to the majestic Bluff. The building's structure is a modern version of an old Caymanian house and offers an intimate setting for any sort of function. There is also a full kitchen, separate male and female bathrooms, small office and a conference area with the capacity for approximately 40 people. Vendor stalls are now available for craft markets. Conferences, retreats, corporate functions, weddings, receptions, festivals, private functions, exhibitions, training seminars and workshops can all be held here. A deposit of $25 is required, and there is an hourly charge of $15, $100 daily, and an optional cleaning fee of $25. Only traveller's cheques accepted.
