[Full Description]
Colorado Springs is the second largest city in Colorado, behind Denver not far to the north, and defines the northeastern tip of the south central region of the state. The city is situated near the base of one of the most famous American mountains, Pikes Peak, at the eastern edge of the southern Rocky Mountains.
It was first established as a posh resort community, though the older mining supply center of Colorado City (now Old Colorado City) was merged later, and the tourist industry has remained strong and offers many activities and attractions. Outdoor enthusiasts will find much to love in Colorado Springs. The area offers whitewater rafting and climbing. See the beauty of the city from up high by climbing the Garden of the Gods, The Red Rock Canyon Open Space, Cheyenne Canyon and many other nearby destinations. Hiking and snowshoeing are also available.

TravelMuse - Colorado Springs Flea Market, Colorado Sprin...
Some Flea Markets give you the sneaky sense that you have entered a fly-by-night gypsy camp that at any minute is going to be closed down by local authorities. This, however, is not one of them. This market has been in operation for over 30 years, giving it more permanence than most notable retail chains. It is so permanent that the grounds are paved, and well-maintained flowerbeds line the walks. There are over 500 vendors, an on-site cafe and restless kids can be tamed on pony rides.[Full Description]
