This historic district was once the slave-trading area for the town. It now consists of restored warehouses and old buildings painted in a rainbow of colors. There are also small courtyards with dining facilities. The area has been redone to attract shoppers while retaining a sense of the island's history. Visit wonderful boutiques and novelty stores selling local wares and the trendiest clothing, and stop to dine at cozy eateries with tasty French pastries, pizzas and local brews. Credit cards may vary by business.
