An underpass is not the most charming of environs, but a visit to Piegari is enough to take your mind off it. This is the more chic of the two (the sister concern, Piegari Vitello e Dolce, is a stone's throw away) and the Italian cuisine they dish up is unbelievable, if not unexpected. The half a dozen kinds of pasta, ravioli and risotto is common fare; what's uncommon is the size of their servings. Unless you have an appetite for destruction, a serving for one should suffice for two. Add to this their excellently seasoned seafood and a comprehensive wine list and rest assured, walking back to your car will be a challenge.
