Situated in a shopping center, which at times can be difficult to park in, Istana Restaurant serves up Malaysian and Singaporean food. Roomy and bright, it is popular with Malaysian families. The meal starts with a dessert. Choose from Kway Dada, a pastry filled with coconut and palm sugar or Ang Ko Kueh, cakes filled with red bean paste. There are some good main dishes too, plenty of noodles, curries and fish dishes.
