The Sydney Cove Oyster Bar on the eastern end of Circular Quay makes the most of the world famous views that surround it the Opera House, the Harbor Bridge and all the twinkling ferry-crossed water in between. The view is made all the more perfect by sparkling white tablecloths, relaxed staff and a seasonal seafood dominated menu. This is a great place for a late, luxurious lunch after a morning spent exploring the Botanical Gardens or pre-show dinner on a balmy night, as it is so close to the Opera House. The shellfish platter is a oceanic treat, heaped with prawns, half a crab, smoked salmon and, yes, oysters. The wine list has seafood-perfect choices and the friendly helpful staff will help making a good match with the catch of the day. The restaurant opens at 8a.
