The Adelphi Hotel has always sought to be a little different. By acquiring Teage Ezard, the chef of another quality eatery (Guernica), to run its restaurant, the hotel has continued in this vein. Sleek, sophisticated lines in this basement restaurant make an uncluttered background to the superb food which showcases the best of East meets West fusion cooking. Ezard's seafood, from oysters to whole garfish in a coconut batter is a revelation. Noodles feature, without dominating. Nothing is ever heavy, though the servings are generous. His versions of traditional dishes, like osso bucco, are exceptional.
