While the décor may be nothing to rave about, the food is something else. Serving up the flavorful tastes of Nonya cuisine, their Char Kuay Teow and Laksa dishes are reputed among local Malaysians to taste as authentic as those back home. There is also otak otak, belacan kangkong, Assam curries and rendangs. A must-try is their kuihs, little steamed pieces of traditional Nonya cakes made mainly of coconut, glutinous rice and pandan extracts. Have it with their Teh Tarik, a Malaysian hot tea drink, for a truly Nonya cuisine experience. With friendly staff and delicious food, this place is a winner if you can look past the cheap furnishings and worn-out walls. - Tania Nadarajan
