Max Brenner's Chocolate Bar models itself on an old-fashioned chocolatier's shop. Jars of chocolate buds line the shelves, banks of drawers are labeled with flavorings such as vanilla, ginger and blueberry, and boxes of spices are piled next to a vat of creamy melted chocolate. Of course, the menu is also filled with cocoa variations: mugs of hot chocolate made from beans sourced from Trinidad, Java or Venezuela, pure chocolate shots melted over a flame and sipped up with a straw, and, for those who've thrown away the calorie book, a chocolate pizza.
