The oldest vegetarian restaurant in Rio, Restaurant Natural Vegecoop has been serving up healthy lunch dishes since 1962. Food is served buffet-style and paid for by weight, and there are more than 30 different dishes to choose from, including a wide range of salads as well as delicious hot dishes such as vegetarian stroganoff and wholemeal pastries filled with spinach and ricotta cheese. There are plenty of options for vegans, too, and the emphasis is very much on using fresh, healthy ingredients to create dishes that are as healthy as they are delicious. - Lucy Bryson
