This famous dive site and rock formation has been the subject of myth and much scientific controversy. Lying in only 20 feet of water, the J-shaped formation is about 600 feet long. The rocks, from five to 10,000 years old, seem normal enough, but closer inspection reveals carvings on the stones that suggest they may have been intentionally placed by someone or something to form this structure or that they may represent a map of some kind. Some parts of the formation seem too perfectly rectangular to be a coincidence of nature. Some have theorized this site is a remnant of the lost continent of Atlantis, hence the name. Numerous dive operators on Bimini conduct diving excursions here.
