Renowned for its pristine beaches, exciting dive spots and historical significance, this cay makes for a fascinating day trip or a longer vacation at one of the resorts or private rentals. Founded in 1783, New Plymouth is the main settlement of this island, which is tiny, yet more populous than other cays. Many of the 550 residents make their living catching conch and lobster. The town itself exudes a quaint English-American charm, with clapboard cottages of a style that might be found in New England. Bring cash. Many establishments do not accept credit cards.
