This is one park that enjoys world recognition due to its incredible history. It is named after Abraham Martin, one of the first settlers on the heights of Quebec. Designed by the renowned architect Frederick G.Todd in 1908, the Plains of Abraham was also known as Battlefields Park, due to the three month city seige that finally ended here. Today this place is a far cry from a gruesome battle area. Instead, it is a haven for avid nature lovers. Visit to get a closer look at 6,000 species of shrubs and trees.
