This walking tour commences from the town hall at the Place de la Palud. The tour proceeds through the city streets of the Old Town taking in the sights of medieval Lausanne. It provides a good way to gain an insight into the history of this city in a short period of time. Commentary is available in English, French, German and Italian, but all depends on the availability of the guides (it is advisable to ring ahead). Another bonus of this walk is that by request it will operate during the off season and with an advance notice include a specific site of your request. However, there is nothing you can't see or learn during your own wanderings accompanied by the information booklet from the tourist office.
