The Zunfthaus zur Schmieden, which was bought by the guild in 1412, is one of the tourist sights to see in the old town of Zürich. Particularly worth seeing is the ceiling of the building which was renovated in Gothic style in 1520. Specialties are veal kidneys with pilaf-rice, filet of pork, home-made pasta and Chinese fondue. This restaurant offers a wide selection of first-class wines, many of which are available by the glass.
