Shanghai History Museum was founded in 1983 and is the biggest museum in Shanghai. It has more to do with the ancient history and culture of Shanghai and China than anything else. It deals with the history of Chia on a massive scale with information of coins, jade, wars, rulers, people, dynasties, etc. It is located bang in the middle of People's Square and if you reach there you are just two steps away from the door of the museum. Worth a look for more than anything else it is a place whence you come to know about the China in ancient times and how it developed over the ages.
