Kugler Alm is a traditional Bavarian pub with first-class local specialties, a beautiful beer garden with seating for 2,500, a small sun-terrace and a service station (including a pump) for cyclists. The latter tradition goes back to the days of Franz Xaver Kugler, the landlord in 1922, who topped up his glasses of beer with lemonade during the post-war beer shortage. His innovation was named 'Radler' (cyclist) after his regular customers, and the drink (half beer and half lemonade) has now become famous throughout Germany.
