The name 'Planten un Blomen' has its origins in the old Hamburg dialect for 'plants and flowers'. With a huge variety of trees, plants, flowers, a Japanese garden, and also an ice or skating rink for winters, the park attracts thousands of visitors during the warm summer months. One of the major summertime attractions is the water, music and light show. This impressive display takes place at 10 pm from May to August and at 9 pm throughout September, allowing for a breathtaking visual spectacle at night. Water shows are performed every day in winter, but without the light show. There is also an adventure playground and numerous other activities to ensure that kids enjoy amidst the scenic beauty that is Planten un Blomen. Please check the website for timings.
