The Friesenkeller embodies all that is good about north German restaurants- a cozy, rustic ambience and a fine selection of rich and tasty northern German specialties at reasonable prices. The dishes are presented on a somewhat unusual, but unique menu which resembles a newspaper. The emphasis is on fish dishes, with plaice being a popular choice amongst regulars. Guests can sit outside on the banks of the canal during good weather and enjoy the tranquility of Hamburg's waterways. Friesenkeller is also a great spot for organizing private parties, family functions and business programs and/or events.

Nice Spot!
Good view of the canal. Great place to sit and people watch. Very pleasant on a sunny day. Wait staff very friendly!
