Situated in one of Europe's busiest harbors, Rive gives its patrons and visitors breathtaking, panoramic views of Hamburg harbor, with ships, tankers and vessels passing by as you feast on the delicacies offered- from oysters, caviar, international treats such as sushi and sashimi, local specialties such as half baked calf head (yes, it's true) to the better sounding 'seafood plate'- a dream come true for seafood lovers, this consists of oysters, langostinos, jakob shells, lobsters,
cancers, king crab, scampi and calamaretti. Rive is unique in that it adds a Mediterranean touch to local German fare, and though the food can be a bit pricey, you won't be disappointed with the menu that always has something to get your taste buds popping. It is also advisable to make a reservation as the restaurant can become overcrowded, thanks to its popularity.
