The Old Marketplace is in the centre of Dresden. On it, you will find the Old Market House and inside, the Altmarktkeller. The food is mainly of the regional Saxon variety as is the wine and spirits list. Wednesdays and Thursdays are 'slaughtering' days and you can get blood sausage and liver sausage, roast pork and other meat specialities here. This is a place for locals with a predominantly older clientele.
