Founded by Muslim Chinese refugees, this long-standing alley restaurant offers decent food at decent prices. Screens, fans and chopsticks are run-of-the-mill Chinese, but if you're still not convinced, ask to have your waiter work out the bill on an abacus. He will. The cost of importing authentic ingredients and the peculiarities of the local palate have necessitated deviations from authentic dishes, but the menu does have its strong points. Stick to the yummy spring rolls and generously-portioned noodle dishes. Main dishes run EGP 15-25. Beer is served.
