Many of those who live in Lauttasaari seem to think of it as the best place in the world, although there are not many good cafés in this area besides Café Mutteri. This is a traditional café in an old, round, wooden building that was completely refurbished a few years back, with a view out to the sea and a busy street. Coffee and other café products are served from 6am onwards, including ice cream, sweets, pies, soft drinks and pastries. Pies and pastries are prepared by its own bakery, so the goods are guaranteed to be fresh at all times. You can enjoy all this in the 1950s atmosphere peculiar to the Lauttasaari district.
