Nestled within the glorious 5,000 acre Ashridge Estate, the Ashridge Monument attracts curious visitors all year round. It was erected in 1832 in honor of the Duke of Bridgewater, and towers over 100 feet high. The brave and daring can test their strengths by going inside and climbing the 170 steps to the top. After your visit to the monument, treat yourself to a traditional cream tea lunch at the grounds tea shop, or go for one of many nature walks that the property has to offer. This National Trust site is home to a variety of plants and wildlife, and offers visitors spectacular views of the breathtaking English Countryside.
