This vegetarian cafe/bar doubles as a pre-club venue for the London gay circuit. The cafe upstairs serves reasonably-priced vegetarian food all day, with a friendly and efficient counter service. Go on your own and take advantage of the swathes of reading material - papers, leaflets, even a noticeboard which gives the place a community feel - or go with a gaggle of mates and sit back and chat. 'Girl Friday' is a self-explanatory night: it's for girls (and their male guests), and it's on Fridays (7p-11p in the downstairs bar). Guest DJs mix the music to get everyone in the mood for the weekend. This is more than just a bar and cafe.
