The Village Pub looks like any other stone walled pub, except that it serves much more than your average pub fare - mostly due to its high profile chef, Piero Boi. It offers English meals and the menus are changed twice a day. Piero states that they use "the freshest of ingredients available and the food will speak for itself". If that's so, try the Rump Steak, Roasted Cod, Gloucester Soufflé, and Potted Rabbit, and see if that's true. For authentic British dessert or pudding, try the Rum Baba; if you'd rather stick to something more continental, there's always the Chocolate and Espresso Tart.
