McHughs is located close to the Albert Clock and boasts of being the oldest pub in Belfast. The ground floor is mainly a bar, divided into small rooms and liberally furnished with artworks depicting Belfast's past and present. The basement hosts live bands every weekend while mellower jazz and ballad singers perform on the weekends. Try the restaurant on the first floor, which offers food ranging from traditional pub fare to noodle dishes. The highly affordable wine list has some excellent New World wines.
