The dining area in this cozy Italian eatery is filled with wooden tables and chairs, the dark wood gleaming in the candlelight. People in twos and fours can be seen chatting and laughing, tucking into seafood starters, light crunchy salads served with a choice of dressings, or carefully slicing pizzas into wedges. In the cooler months, when the air outside is fresh and chilled, Tivolis turn off the air con so diners can smell the fragrances wafting from the kitchen; pizza dough baking, garlic sizzling, and tomato sauce bubbling on the stove. The staff at Tivoli give good prompt service and, though the pizzas are smaller than some, they are thin, crisp and tasty—just the right size for one person. They also have a good selection of wines.
