French chef Daniel Labrosse has been delighting Budapest gourmands for around five years now. The decor is chic and stylish-in the summer you can sit in the courtyard, although the plastic garden chairs and tables are none too comfortable. The clientele consists of French families who know a good thing when they taste it, sophisticated Magyars and romantic couples. How about monkfish in saffron sauce or one of the best "foie gras" in town? Provenal lamb, lobster or asparagus in Hollandaise sauce are all seasonal favourites chalked up on the board, depending on what looked best in the market that day. With quality wines that don't come cheap, an evening at Chez Daniel will always be remembered.
