Garvics is hidden away on a tiny street on Obuda. It has received a three-fork evaluation from the Michelin Guide. The building is striking. Its unique organic form probably has something to do with the fact that it was designed by the architect firm associated with Imre Makovecz, Hungary's leading architect. Inside, the decor is modern, clean and tastefully arranged. There is also a garden dining area. Expect high-quality Hungarian and international dishes. The menu-in Hungarian, German, English, Italian and French - offers meats roasted over lava stones and special gourmet sauces. Garvics also offers more than 70 different wines, many of them being particularly old vintages.
