This Italian restaurant was so popular and always so packed, that a branch had to be opened just down the road on Nyugati Square. The original remains the better of the two but they both advertise themselves as the best Italian restaurants in town. This is not strictly true as one suspects the male visitors go there more for the legendary brevity of the waitresses' skirts than for the quality of the pizzas. The decor is plain and functional with murals of Italian countryside scenes. The tables are jammed up close to each other so you are forced at times to listen to your neighbour's mobile phone conversation. If you can get a table, it is a better place to grab a quick lunch than to dine at. Reservations are essential. The pasta, bread and grissini are freshly prepared each day and the pasta sauces are passable. The pizzas are not exactly the best in town but at least the crusts are thin. The salads are good and there is a long list of meat and fish main courses.
