Szent Jupat must be the patron saint of those who like to gorge themselves on meat after a night out drinking as it is always filled with hiccuping youth and/or startled tourists. A take away facility is available on the street around the corner. The decor in this semi-cellar bar is all brown wood booths, purely functional for chowing down. Each table sits four, although six small ones could squeeze in but probably not out again after a meal here. Szent Jupat is legendary for its gigantic portions of meat. Do not attempt both a starter and a main course unless you haven't eaten in months. The emphasis is on fried meats, breaded and fried mushrooms and there is an enormous mixed grill for two that takes up the whole table. For hours of operation and other details, call ahead or check the website.

Café Miró Grande

(Rating: 5) by monica on October 14, 2009

I would like to tell my favourite trip in Budapest, Hungary. I went to holiday with my family for this fantastic city. First day we went to Citadella. It has got beautiful spectacle! But a little exhausting! :) Second day we try a spa and we relaxed all day. :) Third day we went to Heroe's Square and watched statues. At night we went to a restaurant which suggest me for my best friend. Café Miró Grande the most elegant restaurant in Budapest. It's located in the heart of Budapest at 9. Liszt Ferenc Square. We ate Smoked swordfish carpaccio, Steak tartare, and Goulash soup. Each dishes are fantastic! I ate Goulash soup which very delicious. The service was arrentive and hosts were fantastic! I ate Goulash soup which very delicious. The service was attentive and hosts were friendly in a great romantic atmosphere. We drank palinkas with my father, mother drank Tokaji Wine. Unfortunatelly, we should went to home next day so did not eat again Café Miró Grande. I think we will travel to Budapest next year and eat this fantastic restaurant again! :) I tell all my friends to go and eat there if they are going to Budapest! If you want to read more information you can watch restaurant's website http://www.cafemiro.hu/grande/
