A wonderful place to get away from it all, this stretch of golden sand is located on Bali's southeastern coast. Sanur, a sleepy shoreline, exudes a truly time-means-nothing aura. Take your pick from the many water activities—parasailing, surfing, snorkeling, touring on glass-bottom boats, canoeing, jet-skiing, windsurfing, sailing and swimming—or just bask in the brilliant sun. Palm trees line the beachfront, and little stalls sell everything from roasted corn to chess sets. The beach's most dominant feature is The Grand Bali Beach, ominous both in size and glamour.
