This beach cafe is one of the longest established eateries on Jimbaran Bay and like most of the neighboring restaurants is extremely busy and lively each night. Simplicity is the key with a limited menu of fresh barbecued seafood. Choose from lobster, prawns, squid, baracuda, snapper and more. A small selection of appetizers and sides are available such as spring rolls, fried eggplant and pasta and there is a fair range of imported wines and beers. All seafood can be selected individually and priced by the kilo and a two course meal with drinks should be around $10 per head. The restaurant has a very basic open plan design with a small canopied bar and a large alfresco eating area on the sand. Enjoy a vivid sunset and the wandering mariachi bands for an evening of great fun and good honest affordable food. Fortuin Cafe is open each day from 5pm until 11pm. - Ray Montgomery
