The centre for Beltz Hasidism rests in this 24,000 square metre house of prayer complete with a rabbinical court, yeshivah and a ritual bath. The extravagantly designed hall seats 6,000 people highlighted by the 12 metre tall Brazilian walnut ark housing 100 torah scrolls. Equally impressive are the massive chandeliers laced with 100,000 pieces of Czechoslovakian crystal. There is a guard at the gate so entry may be limited during the week. Attend a Shabbat service Friday evening, dress extra modestly and ask someone nicely to take you inside.
