Chandni Chowk is one of the busiest of roads in the city; it links the Red Fort with the Fatehpuri Masjid. Chandni Chowk is a colorful bazaar, very popular with traders and locals. It is considered as the best place to shop for fabrics, in wholesale prices. It gets so crowded that vehicles are not allowed in its bylanes. Chandni Chowk has retained its old magic and is a bustling shopping area, with historic alleys and hotels, mosques and temples. Some food stalls in the area are 100 years old. It is a favorite hangout for cuisine buffs.
