Pasta exploded all over the Reykjavík foodscape in the early nineties, and for a while it was the hottest kind of cuisine in town, much like Mexican is now. Few of those places survived for long, Pasta Basta being a relative latecomer, providing more exclusive variations on this Italian favourite. Colourful decor and a kind of conservatory-like atmosphere create pleasant surroundings. Apart from the pasta dishes, the menu offers various other culinary pleasures, meat and fish at reasonable prices.

“Great food, especially for vegetarians...”
We ate here 5 years ago, but it's the one restaurant that we recall as being our favorite. Great food, especially for vegetarians, and a friend...
