This museum can be found on the second floor of a beautiful, Neo-Renaissance building, which belonged to the wealthy merchant Mario Morpurgo of Nilma. His heirs donated it to the city in 1941. Nowadays the museum only contains the little that was spared from the plunderings of the German troops in 1943. The furniture can still be admired here, dating from the 19th Century, as well as a rich collection of porcelain and ceramics, paintings, prints and a well stocked library.
