A few hundred meters away from the junction leading to the beautiful Sistiana Mare, on the outskirts of Trieste, you will come across this fish restaurant which dates back to 1910. Traditional home-cooked dishes are on offer, combined with all the advantages of a modern restaurant. Gino was renovated a few years ago, and offers an excellent assortment of starters which are brought around on a tray, these can be follwed by abundant pasta dishes. The second courses are mainly made up of fresh fish which is always of excellent quality. The desserts are alll homemade, and the wine list is surprisingly varied. The prices are a little high, but this is mainly because of the area in which the restaurant is situated, which is definitely worth visiting.
