Scheriani is one of the most famous agritourism in the area. It is a pity that it is only open for a few months of the year (from April to August). It is a lovely place to come, it is located in open countryside, and has wooden tables amongst the trees and vines, and just a few meters further along there is a breath taking view over the sea. It is located near Muggia, near the Slovenian border, and is quite difficult to find, but ask anyone nearby and they will be able to direct you. The food is excellent, but fades almost into the background when compared to the beautiful location. The dishes include abbondant plates of grilled chicken, beef, veal, rasnici and cevapcici(different pig meats), jota (a typical local bean soup which is quite bitter), bacon omelettes, and delicious cheeses and cold meats. The wines are all produced by the Scheriani family and are excellent. Make sure you book because it will be extremely difficult to find a table here if you do not. It is easy to park nearby.
