Number 51, Via della Conciliazione is a rather plain building but nevertheless attracts attention due to a large marble lion's head half way up the right hand corner of the façade. This is Palazzo Cesi, commissioned by Cardinal Francesco Armellini Medici from Martino Longhi in the middle of the 16th Century. The family crest is shown on the main entrance.
