Near the Palazzo Rucellai in the heart of the city centre, this old pub brings to mind the Osterie of the past. The clientèle include important personalities from the world of politics and theatre. Its family-run management guarantees very good service. Amongst the most popular dishes there are the ribollita, the zuppa di lampredotto (eel soup) and the arista di maiale (pork roast). It is possible to order the best quality steaks of the region, but this must be ordered in advance. On Thursday they serve tripa alla fiorentina (tripe served in a red-tomato sauce) and on Fridays there is dried cod. The list of Italian, French and Californian wines is reasonable.
