Ganges presents Indian cuisine at its finest in an atmosphere that is both tranquil and efficient. The shredded chili chicken on a bed of tomatoes is a good way to start a meal here. After that you can take your pick from a really good offering. The tandoori dishes are delicious and the mixed grill is the best way to enjoy a full selection of these. The curries are also recommendable boasting thirteen selections including vegetable, chicken, mutton and seafood curries of differing degrees of pungency. Ask for advice if you are not sure where to start. If you want to go the whole hog, then try one of the course menus. The Ganges Special, which includes tandoori dishes, a curry along with nan and rice plus dessert costs Y2,900, while the Chef's Special costs Y4,600. Vegetarian diners can select the Varanasi Special for Y2,700 which includes four vegetable curries plus a vegetable samosa. There are five curries on the lunch menu (between 11am-3pm)starting at Y920 for those who eat inside and Y700 for take outs.
