Friendly service in a beautiful but laid-back setting make Khmer Surin a very pleasant place to spend an evening. Situated in an old Khmer wooden building, the airy first floor accommodates diners on cushions around low tables, while Western-style chairs and tables are available downstairs. The food is a combination of Khmer and Thai specialties, all very reasonably priced. The traditional Khmer seafood dish, amok, is a highlight - a delicate steamed fish and coconut milk curry, served piping hot in banana leaves or a collection of eggcup-sized covered dishes. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available.
