The Mountain Rainforest Safari trek starts by touring a hidden canyon with Carib Indian Petroglyphs and wraps up in a cool mountain valley with green monkeys, whistling frogs and exotic birds. This guided hike is known as a half-excursion and takes five hours. The full day Volcano Safari is a challenging and rugged hike through lush rainforest to the crater's rim at 2,800 feet above sea level where you will admire breathtaking views of the mile-wide crater with sulphur vents, as well as views of a lake and neighbouring islands. This climb takes ten hours. The Plantation Safari takes you off the beaten track in the comfort of modified Land Rovers. You will learn about the agricultural and architectural heritage of the Atlantic coast of St. Kitts. A West Indian buffet lunch will be served at Lodge Great House, a private 250-year-old sugar planter's home. All trips include pinic and refreshments.
