Acapulco Divers is a Diving School and Club, actively involved in the ecological recovery of Acapulco's marine natural beauty. They provide assistance and all the necessary equipment for the professional and amateur diver. Acapulco Divers, in conjunction with the Protección Ecológica Subacuática organisation, are dedicated to researching, recovering, protecting and preserving Acapulco's bay marine natural resources. Members can take part in many different activities. For certified divers, the options are deep scuba diving, marine excursions to sites such as the sunken ship Rio de la plata, the caves in Roqueta El Bajo de la Quebrada, Piedra Blanca in Isla Roqueta, Piedra del Gallo and Quita Sueños. All these dives take place at 9am. Shallow diving for amateurs takes place at 11.30am and 14.30pm and consists of visits to the statue of the Virgin; Ripial Las Palmitas, Yerbabuena, shallows of Morro in the Roqueta and more. Ecological diving takes place only on weekends and consists of cleaning of the sea bed, recovery of coral reef, building marine habitats and more.
