The Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) is now recognized as one of the most important of its kind in Latin America. The FIL is an immense book fair in which publishing houses from many countries participate. It features a variety of cultural events, like daily conferences, awarding of literary prizes and performance of musical concerts. The event is held in the Expo Guadalajara building and the exhibition area has more than 75,000 square feet. Every year, the fair invites a country to participate as a special guest. Admission: Adults MXN20; Seniors/Students/Children MXN15.
