The Fiestas de Octubre is Guadalajara's greatest party, lasting for a month and featuring all kinds of cultural and artistic events. The festival includes art exhibits, musical and sporting events, as well as social and folkloric activities of the region. The Auditorio Benito Juz has been home to the main activities since 1989, and features activities that the young and old can enjoy. There you can find carnival rides, food markets featuring local culinary delights as well as local tequila products, local handicrafts, a palenque, with local musical artists and the Canica Azul (Blue Marble) children's area. The events are high quality, as well as affordable; some are free of charge.
