Nyonya is also known as Peranakan cuisine, a distinct fusion of Chinese, Indian and Malay cooking styles distinct to the Straits. Tried-and-tested specialties such as pomfret curry, satay, hand-rolled lobak (pork rolls), cuttlefish in chili paste and spring rolls are fail-safe and delicious options.
