Kris Dinner's Corner George Town/Penang, Malaysia

This is one of the very few hangouts along Chulia Street that serves food and drinks until the wee hours of the morning. Entertainment comes in the form of piped-in music and company of far-flung tourists and backpackers. The interiors are kept dim and furnishings functional i.e. small bar counter, several makeshift tables and red plastic chairs that spill out into the pedestrian walkway outside. Home-cooked Indian and Chinese dishes dominate, along with light snacks, light fried chicken wings and curry puffs. There is beer aplenty and there is a limited selection of table wine.
